Example of Project Management: A manufacturing company wanted to improve the effectiveness of project teams within the organization. FOCUSED developed a curriculum for a team of high potential project leaders and assisted the organization in establishing an environment where projects teams could succeed. After completing the "learning", FOCUSED worked with the team as it completed its first project.
Example of Merger Integration: FOCUSED worked with a financial institution to outline the action plan and facilitate the entire merger integration project. Using FOCUSED's comprehensive tracking process, the numerous action steps were identified and monitored, including due dates and assigned accountability. FOCUSED participated in various department meetings to help maintain open communication and actually completed many tasks, working side-by-side with company employees.
Example of Implementation: Maintaining the Corporate Books and scheduling the annual shareholder and board of directors meetings is a time-consuming and often overlooked responsibility for a growing number of small and mid-sized companies. FOCUSED was contracted to organize the corporation books and schedule the meetings for a business leader with multiple companies under their watch. We created an easy-to-use tool that gives key employees a place to record vital transactions and activities of each company. This tool also helps to simplify the process, and provide a quick reference guide that triggers the action to schedule future corporation meetings, as required by law.
Example of Customized Workshops: An organization wanted to develop the business development networking skills of its sales team. FOCUSED worked with the client to identify key needs, outlined and developed a workshop curriculum that was delivered in two three-hour workshops. The workshops included a high level of participant interaction and follow up assignments to reinforce the learning.
Example of Boot Camp for Business Owners: This business owner's desire to grow their company was continually stifled by their staff's reliance on them. On the surface it appeared that the company may not be staffed with the right people. Although, there were staff modifications that needed to take place, much of the actual dilemma came from the company culture. The owner needed to formally transfer the "authority" to the staff. FOCUSED worked closely with the owner to identify their goals and expectation, articulate a move forward plan, create a new structure that made it possible for staff members to challenge themselves, reduce reliance on the owner, and have greater participation in the growth and profitability of the company.
